- Waiver of registration fees for annual returns for a period of two years;
From October 1, 2020, the Companies Registry will waive the registration fee for annual returns (except late registration) for a period of two years (from October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2022, inclusive day). However, the relevant relief does not apply to annual returns delivered late. If the company delivers the annual return after the deadline, even if the return is delivered within the waiver period, it will still be required to pay a higher registration fee based on the delivery date.
- Decrease the fees paid for establishing a company electronically
In order to encourage the delivery of documents in electronic form, starting from October 1, 2020, the payment for establishing a company in electronic form (including registered non-Hong Kong companies) will also be deducted by 10%. More details on the relief and deduction will be announced later. Companies Registry
